After the Massacre

When I glanced out my window this morning, something was notably amiss. It took me only a moment to identify the anomaly; an azalea bush had been desecrated!

I ventured outdoors to investigate the cause, and discovered an inciminating trail of petal remnants leading towards my goat, the obvious culprit.

In observing the damage, I was stricken by just how symbolic the scene laid before me was. It looked as if a massacre had just occured amongst the flowers; the victims were sprawled upon the ground in a most somber manner, and the survivors appeared forlorn, devoid of their usual luster. I couldn't resist snapping this shot.
